Our objective for this project was to ensure that the selected window furnishings complemented the design of the house both internally and externally, while also providing optimal functionality.

To achieve light control and privacy in the bedrooms, the customer chose Luxaflex room darkening Pirouette Shadings. These modern, soft alternatives to shutters offer enhanced functionality and elegance. For the living area, the customer opted for custom-made sheer curtains to reduce glare and protect the floors and furnishings from the northern winter sun and the morning easterly sun. These curtains also contribute to the room’s warmth and acoustics, creating a cozy atmosphere.

In the bathroom, Luxaflex Polysatin plantation shutters were selected as the best option for the high humidity environment. These shutters are extremely durable and impervious to moisture, making them ideal for bathroom use and ensuring the longevity of the product.

Our objective for the Living and Dining area in this project was to create a soft aesthetic to balance the hard flooring and manage the north and east sunlight. We achieved this with a combination of Luminette Privacy Sheers and Luxaflex PolySatin Shutters. These selections were favored for their precise light control and the sheer fabric of the Luminettes, which softened the overall design. Both shutters and Luminettes harmonize in terms of appearance and functionality, maintaining a contemporary, classy look. The unique design of the Luminette Privacy Sheers offers the elegance of curtains with the practicality of blinds.

Upstairs, the client chose Pirouette Shadings and custom-made sheer curtains for the sitting area. This north-facing room is filled with natural light, and the Luxaflex Pirouette Shadings allow the customer to adjust the light levels, creating a comfortable atmosphere without excessive glare. The soft fabric of the sheer curtains provides a relaxed style, filtering light stylishly on a sophisticated curved track.

For the upstairs balcony, we installed a Luxaflex MagnaTrack Awning to block the brightness and heat from the strong easterly sun. This advanced external sunscreen is windproof, thanks to neodymium magnets in the side channels, allowing for year-round use regardless of the weather. The Spectra fiberglass fabric ensures an extremely clear view-through, making the Luxaflex MagnaTrack Awning the perfect solution for creating a relaxing or entertaining outdoor area while preserving stunning water views and providing efficient heat protection.

Our team was invited to provide window coverings for this luxury home in the inner-city suburb of Pyrmont. Classic white Cedar Shutters were chosen for the living and dining areas, to maximise the flow of light and enable the owners to control the level of privacy. These shutters were also chosen for their durability, ease of use, and the fact they offer a stylish, consistent look throughout the home. The team at A’besco worked closely with the home’s owners to design shutters which were a perfect fit for every room in the space.

The home’s owners chose the shutters in white, to suit the home’s overall monochromatic palette, accented with pops of colour. When open, the shutters allow light to flow into the kitchen and living areas – creating a seamless connection to the courtyard dining area.

When undertaking a stylish renovation of this 1880s Paddington terrace, the owners chose Cedar Shutters for their living areas and master bedroom. These stylish shutters offer a combination of classic style and practical, modern functionality. They also allow plenty of natural light to flow into the home – giving it a light and airy feel throughout. The abundance of light flooding the living spaces is complemented by furniture choices that enhance the feeling of spaciousness despite the building’s narrow footprint. The shutters also work seamlessly with the home’s overall style: a fusion of old and new.

Durable and easy to use, Cedar Shutters are available in a range of configurations and opening styles. In this Paddington Residence, they are used throughout the living area, and a sliding version is used in the master bedroom – where space is tight.
