Unlike standard sun awnings that must be retracted as soon as rain falls, the Sunrain features a 100% waterproof PVC fabric canopy and patented water drainage technology that channels heavy rain away effortlessly—even at ultra-low pitch angles. Tailor every detail of your awning to suit your home’s unique architectural character. Single systems span up to 6,500 mm wide with a 4,000 mm projection, while coupled systems with a slit cover expand continuous shade up to an impressive 19,500 mm across wide entertaining decks. Mount seamlessly onto walls, ceilings, or rafters, with an optional protective hood profile to keep your canopy pristine year-round.
Choose from classic white, 18 Leiner Lounge textured finishes, or select from over 200 high-performance fabric patterns delivering up to UPF 80 UV protection. Enhance stability with the optional Wind Protect System (WPS)—using fixable front support legs to withstand wind gusts up to 70 km/h—and add wirelessly dimmable LED arm lighting, matching infrared outdoor heaters, or the Calypso Roll side awning for complete privacy and wind protection.
Choice of operating systems
Standard configurations include a reliable electric motor, with options for manual crank operation or advanced Somfy® RTS/io wireless technology. Effortlessly extend, retract, or adjust your awning using a handheld remote or smartphone app from anywhere.
For complete peace of mind, add the Safety Motion emergency manual crank as a reliable backup drive. Pair your motorised system with an intelligent 3D motion sensor mounted on the front profile—detecting wind movement and automatically retracting the awning during sudden coastal gusts.

The Leiner Sunrain® is available in a maximum single-unit width of 650 cm with a 400 cm projection, while coupled multi-unit systems span up to 1,950 cm. All systems come standard with a high-torque electric motor.
Available in standard White (RAL 9010) or 18 textured Leiner Lounge fine-structured finishes, with custom RAL powder-coating options available to match your building’s exterior joinery.
